SELAYARPOS.COM ■ President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Esemka car factory owned by PT Solo Manufaktur Kreasi, in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, last Friday (6/9/2019).
"I warmly welcome the operation of the factory and Esemka facilities, all of which are carried out by the children of the nation," Jokowi said through his Facebook account a moment ago.
Jokowi explained, PT Solo Manufaktur Kreasi is a national company that is wholly owned by the private sector. Jokowi also admitted, if Esemka is not a national car.
"Even though Esemka is not a national car, as a domestic product, its presence certainly has an important effect on economic movements," said the former Mayor of Solo.
He added, Esemka would provide a chain effect for other local automotive industry suppliers.
"That's why we all have to support it. Moreover, the product is also good, I've tried it," said Jokowi who began to introduce Esemka around 2011-2012.
